The Harmony Day Support Program provides structured day placement and training for individuals with intellectual or other developmental disabilities who may not be eligible for other training programs but who could benefit from social skills, pre-vocational and instrumental activities of daily living training. The goal of Harmony Day Support is to: Utilize community supports and services such as educational programs, contract work, recreational centers and public libraries. Develop social, recreational and leisure activity skills. Develop functional skills. Increase the individual's integration into the community. Teach individual's effective ways to interact in his/her environment. Develop self-esteem and self-worth. Develop friendships. Experience work-based opportunities

Medicaid Waiver programming at Goodwill focuses on providing supports to individuals so they may achieve their personal goals and objectives. The programs operate in accordance with the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services licensing regulations. Individuals receive services both in the Goodwill center and community based settings depending on their preference and interests. Discovery Services are Day Support programs at Goodwill. Through the programs, individuals will receive the support they need to acquire, retain, and improve their skills in areas that they have identified. A wide variety of opportunities, in both community and center based settings, for peer interactions, enhancement of social networks, and to build natural supports will lead to greater independence. Individuals enrolled in Discovery Services may participate in Group Day Support, Community Engagement, or Community Coaching services. Programing is offered at the Roanoke Jobs Campus, Radford Jobs Campus, and Rocky Mount Jobs Campus. Individuals living in Goodwill's 31 counties and 13 cities service area are eligible for services, however are responsible for their own transportation.

Provides community-based case management for individuals affected by brain injury. Case management includes identifying needs and developing a plan of action to meet those needs. Help individuals and their caregivers find their way through the rehabilitation process which can last for years following an injury. After determining what an individual needs and would like to accomplish, we identify and coordinate services to help them reach their goals. Monitor progress toward those goals and build partnerships and teams to create a lasting network for continued support. Primary function is to help individuals affected by brain injury return to their lives - to their homes, careers, school and communities - to the greatest extent possible.

Provides services to help prevent and treat Intellectual Disabilities and to enhance the quality of life of individuals who experience these conditions in the Cities of Buena Vista and Lexington and the Counties of Rockbridge and Bath, Virginia by providing individualized treatments, establishing and expanding programs and support systems, and promoting integration into the community. The purpose of LIFT is to provide apartment-based Independent Living and Support Services to help foster care youth, ages 17-21, transition from residential care to independent living. Youth receive housing, vocational and educational services, life skills training, therapeutic services (counseling, therapy and/or substance abuse education), and the development of a network of support services in the community. LIFT is licensed for 25-beds for males & females transitioning from the foster care system to independent living in the community.

Most services are provided in the person's home, school, or workplace. Referrals are accepted from individuals, families, schools, doctors, and other community partners.

Mental Health Skill Building (MHSS) is a program for those individuals who suffer from mental illness and lack basic living skills, those who need connections to community resources and require help in managing their psychiatric symptoms. CCCS will develop individualized support plans that are specific to the client’s needs, a plan with an emphasis on managing psychiatric symptoms and establishing consistent medication management.

Offers a a Life Skills Transition Program that provides transitional independent living skills for the disabled. NCIA’s Community Living Homes provides housing for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them lead full and active lives in their community. NCIA has 40 residential homes throughout Baltimore County, Baltimore City, and Prince George’s County, where residents can choose to live alone or with roommates. Staff assist residents in making community connections, developing independent living skills, and promoting a socially active lifestyle. Support is tailored to each person’s individualized needs, including case management, clinical, and nursing support, empowering them to live more independently and achieve greater self-sufficiency.

Elmtree is a group home for individuals 18+ who have an intellectual disability and other secondary disabilities, such as emotional/behavioral problems or physical disabilities. Elmtree provides access to social and recreational activities and makes available religious and employment opportunities in the community or at home. The application process includes providing credit references, housing references, verification of income and disability. Renters must meet all VHDA requirements and sign a one-year lease. Elmtree has available staff on-site 24 hours a day.
