TJ's Safety Training and Staffing provides a free service to the public by helping applicants find jobs. Offers full time, part time, temporary, long term, and temp to hire assignments.

The services available at the Career Center include internet-ready computers, resume services, cover letters and job searches, interviewing techniques, fax, phone, a copier, resource library, educational videos, newspapers, magazines, computer tutorials, and career counseling. Job seekers can also open e-mail accounts to correspond with potential employers. The Albemarle Career Center is affiliated with the Virginia Workforce System. The Center is open to the public.

DBVI provides services and resources which empower individuals who are blind, vision impaired or deafblind to achieve their desired levels of employment, education, and personal independence. Services are provided through 4 main programs: Vocational Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation Teaching and Independent Living, Low Vision Services and Education Services. Most services are provided in the person's home, school, or workplace. Referrals are accepted from individuals, families, schools, doctors, and other community partners.

Virginia Works staff at our Viginia Workforce Centers make available job search assistance to individuals and recruiting and referral services to employers. Services available to workers include job referral and placement, referral to training, and job search skill building activities, and basic unemployment insurance filing assistance. Virginia Works staff can assist employers by screening and referring applicants for job vacancies, providing critical labor market information for business and economic planning, and coordinating Employer Advisory Committee activities across the state.

The Southwestern Virginia Regional Employment Coalition places participants at non-profits to help them gain skills and work experience. Application completion, résumé writing, communication, and time management skills are also taught as needed.

MAD4YU has provide FREE tutoring, life enhancement, and computer training to under-resourced individuals in Richmond and surrounding counties and families (youth 1st-12th, adults, and active seniors) with collaborations, donations, contributions, and assistance of committed and talented volunteers as agents of change. The Central Virginia Workforce Development Board (WDB) is the designated regional convener and administrative entity that coordinates workforce training and career services through federal funding from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
